This week, the Politico reporters Daniel Lippman, Darren Samuelsohn and Isaac Arnsdorf fact-checked 4.6 hours of Trump speeches and press conferences. They found more than five dozen untrue statements, or one every five minutes.Then again, Willard Mitt Romney scored a rate of 27 lies in 38 minutes in the debate of October 3 2012, for a rate of a lie every 1.4 minutes, so Trump has a long way to go before he approaches the record.
