One thing that is waayyyy different is the number of things a secretary of state doesn't use email for, which is practically everything important anybody would be worried about, from classified material to evidence of corruption, perversion, and murder, and whatever else the wingers fear she might be up to. Scott Shane's article in NYT on the question of whether there were any classified emails clarifies:
The story's headline says "Experts are skeptical" but by the end it's hard to see what they're skeptical about. There's really not much going on other then certain folks trying to generate some excitement.Clinton aides pointed out other factors that reduced the need to use the personal email account for sensitive matters. As secretary of state, Mrs. Clinton was almost always accompanied by one or more aides with secure government BlackBerrys, laptops or other devices that could be used to send classified material at her direction.
“Classified information was viewed in hard copy by the secretary while in the office,” according to a statement from her office Tuesday. “While on travel, the department had rigorous protocols for her and traveling staff to receive and transmit information of all types.”
Her office said that while serving as secretary, Ms. Clinton “communicated with foreign officials in person, through correspondence and by telephone.” Her staff’s review of her emails “revealed only one email with a foreign official,” one from the United Kingdom, the statement said.
Then again, that press conference sounds like it was pretty dire. And she really "didn't see any reason to keep" those 30,000 personal emails? The ones where every Republican in the land believes she gave a full account of how she personally murdered Vincent Foster in Benghazi? Not to mention the dreadful things she might actually have done?
