Cottone's downfall came when his desire for revenge against the informant who got his brother's cocaine ring busted led him into an FBI trap. Will Trump finally succumb because his desire for revenge against Comey, McCabe, and Strzok started him on his career of document theft?

I'm a little more than half serious about this, especially the Patel role, the idea being more or less that Patel's move to DOD after the election was a kind of transfer from offense to defense, from looking for "dirt" on Trump's FBI enemies to looking for—and hiding—incriminating documents on Trump.
